As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • 1. Focus and scope. Authors should read and understand the focus and scope of the journal, especially with regard to its publication themes: https://sociedadyeconomia.univalle.edu.co/index.php/sociedad_y_economia/Scope
  • 2. Manuscript types. Authors should verify that their manuscript corresponds to one of the textual typologies received by the journal and adjust their text accordingly in its structure, contents and metadata: https://sociedadyeconomia.univalle.edu.co/index.php/sociedad_y_economia/tipologia
  • 3. Ethics. Authors must take into account the ethical aspects by which the journal is guided and submit their manuscripts in acceptance of such principles, recommendations and procedures: https://sociedadyeconomia.univalle.edu.co/index.php/sociedad_y_economia/politicaetica
  • 4. Review process. Authors should read and understand the journal's manuscript evaluation cycle so that they can deal with all communications in a timely manner: https://sociedadyeconomia.univalle.edu.co/index.php/sociedad_y_economia/pares
  • 5. Guidelines for authors. Authors must read, understand and comply with the journal's instructions for authors in order to avoid misunderstandings, reprocessing or the return or rejection of their manuscript for not following the instructions: https://sociedadyeconomia.univalle.edu.co/index.php/sociedad_y_economia/information/authors
  • 6. Letter of commitment. Authors must send a letter of commitment at the time of submitting their manuscript, in which they confirm that they are the authors of the manuscript, that they agree with all its contents and are responsible for them, and that they undertake not to submit simultaneously to other publications.
  • 7. Conflicts of interest. Authors must complete a conflict of interest form provided by the journal, in which they declare whether they have any conflict associated with the research or with the writing or publication of the manuscript they are submitting.
  • 8. Copyright. Authors must submit a Copyright form to the journal at the time of submission, which will be updated if the article is approved for publication; if it is not approved, the Copyright form will not be effective as the manuscript will be released from the process.
  • 9. Other documents. If the research from which the manuscript is derived was endorsed by an ethics committee or if there are informed consents or other types of documents that support that the manuscript is derived from a process in which principles faithful to ethics, bioethics and scientific integrity have been followed, they must be attached and presented as annexes, within the Letter of Commitment.
