Sociedad y Economía is an open access scientific journal that publishes on a continuous basis, with 3 issues per volume (year). Its purpose is to validate and disseminate original articles and literature reviews, both in English and Spanish, focused on the field of Economics and Social Sciences. Submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, with the participation of active researchers and experts in the topics covered. The journal serves as an international forum for researchers, university professors, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as for any reader interested in learning about the latest research and debates in the areas of Economics and Social Sciences.
All articles published in Sociedad y Economía are immediately available in open access, in PDF and XML formats. The journal follows the “diamond” publication open access model, which means that no charges are applied to authors at any stage of the publication process (no article processing charges) as it is financially supported by the Universidad del Valle University Press and the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences.
The journal uses the Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 license (Attribution-NonCommercial) for all its articles.
