Entre el estigma y la invisibilidad: inmigrantes colombianos en Holanda

Abstract

This paper describes the various phases and modalities of immigration of Colombian people to cities of Holland. After the presentation of some of the sociodemographic characteristics, the text shows the main productive and social activities of these immigrants, and underlines some of their peculiarities in comparison with other migrating populations to the same place. Finally, the paper describes some of the difficulties experienced by these migrants during the reception and insertion process in the Dutch society and the new dynamics experimented by the children of these immigrants.
