Abstract
This article assesses the effects of the latest socioeconomics transformations on the social stratification process among racial groups in Cali-Colombia. This work is based on the biographical sample of the Cidse-Ird survey carried out in Cali - 1998. The findings show that the effects of structural change in economics has led to a increase of inequalities among racial groups, which happened within a context of higher social mobility.
