Social Order Reconfiguration in the Middle of an Armed Conflict Situation: Case Studies of Three Municipalities in the Cauca State North Region (1990-2010)
Main Article Content
This article presents the social order reconfiguration of three municipalities: Jambaló,Buenos Aires and Puerto Tejada, in the North Region of the Cauca State (Colombia),between 1990 and 2010. Following a comparative method, some independent variablesare suggested (class, race, organization, collective action, and presence of armed actors, amongst others) and they are related to different types of local social order. The latter isconceptualized as a result of the social groups’ agency and coercion from both the stateand the armed groups.
